The Santa Rosa Biomechanics Laboratory in San Antonio, Texas has a
temporary position available for a kinesiologist, biomechanist or
biomedical engineer with strong computer programming skills and
understanding of three-dimensional kinematic analysis.
The Santa Rosa Biomechanics Laboratory is a state-of-the-art clinical
and research biomechanics laboratory equipped with a five camera Vicon
370 motion analysis system, two moveable AMTI force plates, and a ten
channel hard-wired EMG system.
The current project is a collaboration between the University of Texas
Health Science Center, Department of Orthopaedics and the Santa Rosa
Biomechanics Laboratory. The successful candidate will be responsible
for software development, data collection and protocol implementation
in a kinematic study of chest dynamics. Experience in
three-dimensional kinematic data collection and analysis is essential.
Knowledge of the Vicon motion analysis system, c3d file format, and
programming in Matlab is preferred.
This is an eight week position available immediately.
