Aims and Scope
The purpose of the journal is to bridge the disciplines of medicine,
engineering, public health, and traffic safety in order to foster the
multidisciplinary science of injury prevention and control. The archival
journal focuses on applied research, interventions, and evaluation with-in
the areas of crash prevention and control.
General topics within the journal's scope are: impact biomechanics; vehicle
crashworthiness; occupant restraint systems; epidemiology and clinical
outcome studies; data analyses with specific application to crash injury
mitigation; evaluation of interventions; and economic consequences. The
journal will include full-length papers, brief technical notes, survey
articles, and book reviews.
