    As the Opportunity University, the University of Teesside is committed

    work in the University and encouraging excellence in research,
    teaching and consultancy.

    The School of Social Sciences offers a wide range of courses in
    Psychology, Sport Science and the Social Sciences. We are now
    expanding our Technical team to meet demand within our psychological
    laboratories.

    You will support staff and students and prepare equipment and student
    learning materials for academic: projects; research; and commercial
    work. This will involve some PC, network and hardware maintenance and
    support together with installing, maintaining and repairing equipment
    in laboratories and workshops.

    Educated to at least HNC/D level or equivalent in a Biomechanics
    related discipline, you should be able to demonstrate experience of
    working in a laboratory environment, be computer literate with
    experience of using Windows 3.1 and 95. You should also be skilled in
    the construction of simple circuitry and understand the measurement of
    human performance. Experience of computer programming is essential.
    As a team member you will be expected to work flexibly, which may
    involve some evenings and weekend work.
