JOB ANNOUNCEMENT IN MOTOR CONTROL
A post-doc position is available from September 1998 within the
Neurophysiology/Motor Control section of the Groupe d'Analyse du Mouvement
(GAM),
University of Dijon, France. The applicant will be expected to collaborate
on existing projects that are concentrated around the study of the
coordination between posture and movement and arm reaching movements, and
their mechanical or neural modelisation/simulation. Motor control issues are
addressed within the GAM using a multidisciplinary approach including
biomechanics, neural networks, robotics and behavioral neurosciences.
Applicants with an interest in one or a combination of these areas and who
can demonstrate evidence of their capability
of publishing in high-quality journals pertaining to motor control are
encouraged to apply. A knowledge of spoken/written french is advantageous
but not essential. In the first instance informal contact (fairly rapidly)
should be made by Email (see below) with Dr Thierry Pozzo. Following this
initial contact, a letter of application, curriculum vitae, copies of academic
transcripts and recent publications will be required by mail. The grant will
begin from September or October 1998. The salary will be 10 000 French
Frs/month.
