Colleagues:
The North American Congress on Biomechanics (NACOB) begins this
week at University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. The program
and meeting chairs (Melissa Gross, University of Michigan, Aftab
Patla and Stuart McGill, University of Waterloo) and their
respective committees have developed a stimulating program of
award and keynote lectures, debates, panel discussions, pre-
congress courses, and free communications in poster format.
For those unable to attend the conference and as a continuing
research tool, NACOB in conjunction with its sponsoring societies
(ASB and CSB), has made an electronic proceedings available via
the world wide web. From the ASB home page you will find links to
the conference abstracts. Each paper has been formatted for the
web including the full text and figures of the original
submissions. In addition, the Excite search engine has been used
to index the NACOB site for keyword and concept searching of the
online papers.
We trust you will find this web resource a useful tool for
exploring the latest biomechanics research.
