This is the second Workshop on manual wheelchair propulsion organised by the
research group around "Ergonomics of manual wheelchair propulsion" in the
Netherlands. It intends to give an overview on the current fundamental,
clinical and applied research findings upon wheelchair propulsion, arm work,
wheelchair training and possible consequences of a wheelchair confined life
style.
This International Workshop is dedicated to the scientific knowledge base of
the physiology, biomedical engineering, rehabilitation, biomechanics and
ergonomics around manual wheelchair use, the wheelchair-user population and
alternative modes of ambulation.
The Workshop is a special occasion for both researchers, rehabilitation
engineers, medical practitioners, paramedical staff, provisioners,
