R & D Scientist - Biomechanical Engineer

The group recognises that a strong R & D programme is essential for future growth and our Group Research Centre, based at the York Science Park, is responsible for researching new product concepts, processes and technologies.
To further strengthen our research programme in Non-Invasive Orthopaedics, we have a vacancy for a biomechanical engineer, kinesiologist or biomedical engineer with strong practical skills and understanding of musculoskeletal systems. Current research areas include large joint function and rehabilitation.
We are therefore seeking graduates with at least a first degree in either Biomedical, Mechanical or possibly Electrical Engineering. You+re likely to have a minimum of two years post-graduate research experience in the methods of experimental biomechanics. Knowledge in the areas of motion analysis, force plates, EMG and experience in a gait laboratory would be advantageous as would experience in rehabilitation of patients with lower limb pathologies.
