The position described below would best be filled by a student with
bachelors or masters degree interested in persuing a PhD at State
University of New York at Buffalo. The position includes tuition
reimbursment at SUNY and salary. The department of interest does not
matter. Dr. Bauer is a faculty in the electrical engineering and the
rehabilitation science programs. Laboratories in rehabilitation technology
(Dr. William Mann), biomechanics (Dr. Scott White), and neural control (Dr.
Sainburg) are part of the rehabilitation science program. Dr. Sainburg's
laboratory employs kinematic, electromyographic, and biomechanical
analysis including computer assisted musculoskeletal modelling to address
questions of neural control. This position provides excellent support for
students in these labs or any other program at the university.
