APPOINTMENT IN EXPERIMENTAL MECHANICS and/or BIOMECHANICS.

The Laboratory of Applied Mechanics and Reliability Analysis of the
Mechanical Engineering Department/Swiss Federal Institute of Technology
seeks a qualified individual to participate in the research activities
in experimental mechanics and biomechanics. These activities are
oriented towards the development of constitutive laws and fracture
characterization of composite materials and biomaterials. The
successful candidate must have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering,
biomechanics or a related field with experience in mechanical testing
and various techniques of strain measurements including optical and
other microscopy techniques for materials characterization. The
candidate must have excellent communication skills, both written and
verbal, and be interested in developing new experimental techniques for
strain measurement, especially within the area of biomechanics.
