    ANNOUNCING A NEW RESEARCH PROJECT OF THE INTERNATIONAL
    SOCIETY OF BIOMECHANICS IN SPORT

    You are invited to participate in the 1998-99 Discus Research Project (DRP). This project
    involves the analysis of videographic recordings (SVHS, NTSC format) of men's and
    women's discus finals of the 1998 USA Track and Field National Outdoor Championships
    in New Orleans, Louisiana, June 19-21, 1988. Under the sponsorship of the the
    Division of Physical Therapy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and USA
    Track and Field (USATF), a research team coordinated by Bing Yu will prepare the
    videotape and associated materials for distribution to those submitting acceptable
    research proposals. To obtain details of data collection and procedures for submitting
