Assistant Professor: Biomedical Engineer

The Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at Mississippi
State University is seeking applications for an assistant professor
position in the biomedical engineering area. The individual will be
expected to participate in teaching and research in one or more of the
following areas: biomedical modeling, tissue engineering / biotechnology, or
biomaterials. Qualified candidates with backgrounds in other areas of
biomedical engineering will also be considered. The position is a 9-month,
tenure-track appointment with funding from the College of Agricultural and
Life Sciences. A Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Biological Engineering, or
other related field is required. The successful candidate will be expected
to develop and obtain extramural funding for a comprehensive research
program in an appropriate area in biomedical engineering. Applications
will be accepted until May 15, 1999, or until a suitable candidate is found.
