    I read the gist of Sujovolsky's comments as dealing with the sparse
    employment for students with
    graduate degrees in biomechanics; not as a shot at USOC. 16K or 19K/year is
    still about a 1/3rd of what this years MS engineering graduates average. As
    researchers who use these students, it's our problem too. All factors
    considered, are we doing them a favor employing them? - or should we
    encourage them to seek other fields even if it means we lose good help?

    Beating up on a guy in Sujovolsky's situation is uncalled for.
