    Dear biomechanicians,

There are still a few copies available of my thesis entitled "Mechanical
models of selected parts of the human musculoskeletal system" from June
18th, 1992. It consists of an introduction, a collection of eight
articles published previously, and a summary.

    Titles of the articles are:
    1. Balancing a force on the fingertip of a two-dimensional finger model
without intrinsic muscles. Reprinted from J. Biomechanics 16, 497-504
    (1983).
    2. A model study of muscle forces and joint-force direction in normal
and dysplastic neonatal hips. Reprinted from J. Biomechanics 22, 873-884
    (1989).
    3. Active force-length relationship of human lower-leg muscles estimated
from morphological data: A comparison of geometric muscle models.
    Reprinted from European J. Morphology 29, 137-160 (1991).
    4. Estimation of instantaneous moment arms of lower-leg muscles.
    Reprinted from J. Biomechanics 23, 1247-1259 (1990).
    5. Knee muscle moment arms from MRI and from tendon travel. Reprinted
    from J. Biomechanics 25, 201-206 (1992).
    6. Rigid body motion calculated from spatial co-ordinates of markers.
    Reprinted from J. Biomechanics 13, 391-393 (1980).
    7. Explanation, verification and application of helical-axis error
propagation formulas. Reprinted from Human Movement Science 3, 95-117
    (1984).
    8. An experimental setup for the measurement of forces on a human
cadaveric foot during inversion. Reprinted from J. Biomechanics 22,
    957-962 (1989).
