    SPACE STATION FREEDOM UTILIZATION CONFERENCE

Need to learn more about research opportunities on Space Station
    Freedom?
    Attend the
    Space Station Freedom Utilization Conference
    August 3-6, 1992
Von Braun Civic Center, Huntsville, Alabama

The 1992 Space Station Freedom Utilization Conference is being held
August 3-6 at the Von Braun Civic Center in Huntsville, Alabama, to
encourage research participation on Space Station Freedom (SSF).
Attendees will have a chance to exchange ideas with top Space Station
Freedom decision makers who will report on SSF development and
assembly plans, as well as its research capabilities. Researchers will
present results from recent Spacelab missions and explain research plans
    and opportunities on Freedom.

NASA Administrator Dan Goldin will be speaking on NASA's Vision and
Space Station Freedom. Astronaut Bonnie Dunbar, Mission Specialist-
Payload Commander for the U.S. Microgravity Laboratory-1 Spacelab
Mission, will speak on Space Shuttle crew experience in research.

The first day will be devoted to an overview of the SSF Program and
    research capabilities; the second day, to research plans and opportunities;
the third day, to discipline splinter sessions in the areas of life sciences,
microgravity and biotechnology research, and technology research. The
fourth day will cover crew experience in space research and special topics.

There will be an opportunity to see full-scale mock-ups of the Space
Station laboratory and habitation modules at the Marshall Space Flight
Center. At the Van Braun Civic Center there will be over 30 exhibits. An
evening reception will be held at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, home of
    "Space Camp."

Registration for the three and one-half day conference is $200, which
includes continental breakfasts and three lunches. NASA employees need
to pay $70 to cover the cost of meals. The evening reception at the U.S.
Space & Rocket Center costs everyone $25.

To register, call 1-800-448-4031. To request more information, call
    202/479-5242.
