The University of Hartford invites applications for a full-time
tenure-track faculty position in the neuroscience area with clinical
expertise in the area of assessment and treatment of the neurologically
impaired adult. We are seeking an individual who has a record of
scholarship and documented teaching expertise in neurophysiology,
neurophysiological changes during the lifespan, and neuromotor pathology.
The position is for fall 1999 at the Assistant Professor level.
Salary will be commensurate with experience. The physical therapy
program is accredited at the Bachelor of Science level and is in transition
to a five and a half year Master of Science in Physical Therapy program.

As a private, comprehensive institution with approximately 4,000
undergraduates, the University promotes excellence in teaching and
scholarship and encourages professional development. As a leader in
allied health education, the college offers related programs in medical
technology, respiratory therapy, radiography, occupational therapy and
graduate and undergraduate programs in nursing. The University is
located in West Hartford, Connecticut which offers suburban living in
close proximity to state of the art medical and health care centers in the
greater Hartford region.

Qualifications for the faculty position include a Doctoral degree or
candidacy, three years of clinical experience, and eligibility for
Connecticut Licensure. Faculty will have teaching assignments in the
neuroscience/neurology and scientific inquiry content areas. Faculty
will be expected to mentor graduate students and develop an active
research program.
