    Musculoskeletal and Cardiorespiratory Exercise Rehabilitation

    Senior Lecturer/Lecturer/Associate Lecturer (Continuing Appointment)

    The Department of Biomedical Science offers research and course work
    programs in the areas of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation, Nutrition and
    Dietetics, Diet and Exercise, Occupational Health and Safety and Biomedical
    Science.

    A suitably qualified Exercise Physiologist or Clinically Trained
    Professional is required to contribute to the Department's Exercise Science
    and Rehabilitation Program in the area of Musculoskeletal and/or
    Cardiorespiratory Exercise rehabilitation.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of a strong
    theoretical and practical skill base within the clinical components of this
    program.

    The successful candidate would be expected to teach in areas such as
    Musculoskeletal and/or Cardiorespiratory Exercise rehabilitation,
    Musculoskeletal Functional Anatomy, Exercise Prescription, Exercise for
    Special Populations, Motor Control and Dysfunction as well as supervise
    practical placement. The successful candidate will also be expected to
    contribute to the ongoing development of the department's Exercise Science
    and Rehabilitation Centre and its clinical placement and research programs.

    It is essential that applicants possess a professional clinical degree
    and/or PhD in a relevant discipline. Candidates with a PhD program close to
    completion will be considered. The successful candidate must have extensive
    experience in the area of musculoskeletal and/or cardiorespiratory exercise
    rehabilitation, a demonstrated research track record, an ability to teach at
    the tertiary level and effective communication skills.

    Demonstrated ability to attract external grant funding and experience in the
    supervision of postgraduate students would be desirable.

    The appointment will be made at either the Senior Lecturer, Lecturer or
    Associate Lecturer level depending upon the experience and qualifications of
    the successful candidate. Appointment at the Senior Lecturer level would
    require completion of a PhD program and demonstration of an established and
    productive research track record and external grant funding.

    $58,707 to $67,694, Lecturer $47,925 to $56,911, Associate Lecturer $33,548
