BREAST CANCER RESEARCH - OPPORTUNITY
Dept OF MATERIALS & MEDICAL SCIENCES - CRANFIELD UNIVERSITY
We currently have an EPSRC sponsored PhD studentship available to
identify new structural markers of breast cancer. The work will include
studies of collagen and inorganic deposit structures. The project will
also be supported by an additional CASE stipend supplied by the Christie
Hospital NHS trust. A significant amount of experimental work will be
undertaken at the UK's national Synchrotron Source, Daresbury,
Warrington.
Applicants must possess a good honours degree in Physics, Chemistry or
closely related subject. Diffraction experience would be an advantage,
but enthusiasm is essential.
