Faculty Position
Daemen College invites applications for a full-time faculty member to join
our team and complement the nine full-time faculty and two academic
clinical coordinators in training exceptional physical therapists. Daemen
has created an additional tenure-track faculty position in the Physical
Therapy Department as we implement our new Master of Science in Physical
Therapy professional program. Daemen College presently has an accredited
baccalaureate entry-level program as well as a thriving post-professional
Master of Science degree program within the Division of Natural and Health
Sciences. Our faculty are actively involved with teaching in, and
governing the direction of, each of these programs.
Responsibilities: teaching in both the entry level and post-professional
Physical Therapy programs, research activity and mentorship and involvement
in college and community service. Teaching experience and expertise is
required in the areas of kinesiology and anatomy.
Qualifications: Previous academic experience, evidence of scholarly
activity and demonstrated teaching excellence are required. The successful
candidate will have an earned doctorate or post-professional master's
degree with interest in pursuing doctoral preparation. Salary and academic
rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Review of
applications begins February 15, 1999 and will continue until a successful
candidate is identified.
