Brief Information of ISBS2000
The Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, The Chinese
University of Hong Kong, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Sports
Development Board and Hong Kong Association of Sports Medicine and Sports
Science, will host the XVIIIth Conference of International Society of
Biomechanics in Sports (ISBS2000) on June 25 - 30, 2000 in Hong Kong.
The main topics of the Conference are:
1. Pure and applied sports biomechanics
2. Modeling, simulation, optimization in sports biomechanics
3. Applied methods and instrumentation
4. Biomechanics of the musculo-skeletal system
5. Biomechanics of training and sports equipment
6. Biomechanics of injuries, orthopedics and rehabilitation in sports
7. Biomechanics of pediatrics and geriatrics exercise
In addition to the Scientific Programs, there are Applied/Roundtable
Programs with the topics are
1. Filming and motion analysis
2. Force plate and gait
3. Computer simulation of movements and inverse dynamics
4. Swimming
5. Cycling
6. Fencing
7. Tennis
8. Martial arts
