  • Using TCP or UDP with MotionStar

    Greetings.

I have purchased a MotionStar system from Ascension Technology Corporation
that uses a TCP or UDP communication protocol for transferring data (both
protocols are supported). The MotionStar system is basically a variant of
    Ascension's Flock of Birds device.

I am in the process of writing a LabView VI to collect data from the
MotionStar using TCP, and I am wondering if anyone else has done this. I
know of research groups that have written VI's for the RS232 interface, but
I haven't found anyone who's done it using TCP or UDP. If you have
experience in this area, I would love to hear from you.

I will post a summary of all replies.

    Sincerely,

    Richard Hughes, Ph.D.
