  • Professorship of Musculo-skeletal Science

NORMAN COLLISSON PROFESSORSHIP OF MUSCULO-SKELETAL SCIENCE

This chair will be held in Oxford University's Nuffield
Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the new professor
will be expected to develop a strong research programme
as his or her prime contribution. The programme should
lie in one of the main areas of research in the musculo-
skeletal system and though no sub-speciality is sought,
it is expected that the professor will strengthen research
interests already in, or affiliated to, the Department. A
    medical qualification is not essential.

    A non-stipendiary supernumerary fellowship at St Peter's
College, Oxford, is attached to the professorship.

Applications (twelve copies, or one from overseas
candidates), naming three persons who have agreed to act
as referees on this occasion, should be received not later
than 29 March 1999 by the Registrar, University Offices,
Wellington Square, Oxford OX1 2JD, UK, from whom further
particulars may be obtained. Further particulars may also
be accessed on the Web (http://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/fp/).

Informal enquiries can be made to Professor John Kenwright,
Nuffield Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, via his secretary
    (e-mail: maria.fleming@ndos.ox.ac.uk or fax: +44 1865 227 354).
