Tissue Requested: Tibial plateau with medial and lateral menisci
Total Number Requested: 20 tibial plateaus
Date Needed: Immediate need for 20 specimens
Donor Criteria:
Age: Less than 70 years of age
Condition: No meniscal tears, osteoarthritis, or knee
surgery
No dehydration of meniscal tissue or
freezer burn
Other: 2cm of tibial plateau required
Serology: Must be HIV, Hep B, and Hep C negative
Please contact Kate Lechner or Arthur Huang if you have any further
questions.
We will pay up to $200 for each tibial plateau.
Please ship specimens fresh frozen on dry ice.
Note: We are in immediate need of tissue due to the difficulties we have
encountered in procuring specimens from other sources. We were to receive
10 knee pairs for our research, but the institution which was to provide
them did not follow through. We need these specimens to complete data
collection for our theses. Thank you.
