    Graduate Assistantships in Biomechanics

    Description:
    Two Graduate Assistantships at Montana State University in the area of
    Biomechanics are available for the Academic Year of 1999-2000. Course work
    and related experiences lead to a Master of Science in Health and Human
    Development with a major concentration in Biomechanics.

    Responsibilities:
    One teaching assistantship is available for which the appointee will be
    assigned to assist in teaching undergraduate biomechanics laboratories and
    assist in research projects in the Biomechanics Laboratory. One research
    assistantship is available for which the appointee will assist in research
    projects in the Biomechanics Laboratory. Both assistantships involve a
    commitment of 15 - 20 hours per week.

    Qualifications:
    Candidates must have received a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited
    institution, with a major related to biomechanics (physics, engineering,
    exercise science, biology, math, computer science); earned an acceptable
    grade point average and GRE
    scores for admission to the Graduate School at MSU; and possess personal
    qualities necessary to be a successful student in the graduate program.
    Depending on previous undergraduate course work, the candidate may be
    required to take pre-requisites in biology, chemistry, math, physics,
    anatomy, and/or physiology, during the first year to achieve full graduate
    standing at MSU.

    Application materials should be submitted by April 1, 1999.
