The Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine (TISM) is now offering
internships in the Human Performance Laboratory on a volunteer basis.
Anyone from around the globe pursuing graduate/post graduate work in
biomechanics, PT, AT, or engineering is welcome to apply for an
internship. Computer experience is required; computer programming
experience is welcome. Our present system operates on Unix and Windows
NT.
TISM’s Human Performance Lab is equipped with a 3-D Motion Analysis
System (6 cameras), two 2x4 Bertec forceplates, and EMG. We are
presently using Motion Analysis Co. EVa data collection software, and
Kintrak/Orthotrak data analysis software. The lab is housed in an
orthopaedics clinic and is setup for clinical and sport evaluations, and
research investigations.
