  • ASSISTANCE REQUIRED ON RUGBY SCRUM RESEARCH

    Dear All

my name is Bryce and I am currently undertaking my honours at Australian
    Catholic University, North Sydney, Australia

My research is exploring the biomechanics of the rugby union scrum, with
the focus on maximising forces for the elite and minimising forces for the
    recreational player during scrummaging.

I have a major 'hurdle in that there is no apparatus readily available to
measure forces through a rugby scrum. therefore i invisage adapting some
sort of force transducer/plate to a scrum machine, But i have limited
    knowledge here.

It would be greatly appreciated if anyone out there who had any information
at all regarding force measuring devices or ways to adapt these devices for
my situation could post a reply here, or e-mail me personally on
    cavanagh@hotchip.com.au

If anyone wishes to discuss or acquire further information concerning my
research thesis and its aims etc please contact me, i am egar to discuss
    it.

    Thanking you in anticipation
    Bryce Cavanagh
