    CHAIR (FULL PROFESSOR) OF SPORT SCIENCE

    The Chair in Sport Science, which has been created as an established Chair
    in the Department of Physical Education, Sport and Leisure Studies, is
    intended to provide leadership and direction in sport science. The
    successful applicant will have a doctorate in sport science or a related
    discipline, evidence of research leadership and promotion, and the
    potential to exercise credible leadership and support within the fields of
    sport and exercise biomechanics.
    The Chair in Sport Science is intended to attract a specialist in
    biomechanics to complement the existing research expertise in the
    department. The appointee will be expected to contribute to the
    development of sport in the University and to enable the University to
    exploit the opportunities afforded by the Scottish Institute of Sport.

    Salary will be on the professorial scale, minimum GBP 35,170 per annum.
