    CALL FOR PAPERS

    GATORADE TRIATHLON SCIENCE 11

The second Gatorade Triathlon Science Seminar will be held in conjunction
with the 1999 Noosa Triathlon on Monday, 8th November at the South Pacific
    Resort, Noosa.

The Noosa Triathlon, an ITU race, is on November 7th in one of Australia's
most beautiful holiday destinations. The seminar will be held three days
after the 5th IOC World Congress on Sport Sciences finishing in Sydney on
    November 5th.

Hosted by the Triathlon Research Initiative at Central Queensland
University, the format for the seminar will be a morning focus on
"Maximising Olympic Distance Triathlon Performance - a multi-disciplinary
approach" which will have invited speakers (Coach, athlete, biomechanist,
    physiologist, dietician, psychologist, medical
    practitioner/physiotherapist) addressing the topic.

Expressions of interest are called from sports scientists and allied
fields, graduate and undergraduate students to present papers and / or
posters of scientific interest to the triathlon community. Presentations
and posters must demonstrate applied performance outcomes. This session
will be held on the afternoon of the seminar. If the demand for the seminar
is great, the seminar may be extended to a conference held over two days
    with refereed published proceedings.

Please forward your expression of interest (topic, original research,
review, technical note, poster etc) together with a brief CV to Peter
Reaburn PhD at: p.reaburn@cqu.edu.au or the contact details below.
