POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
Applicants are invited for a postdoctoral position in the Motion Analysis
Laboratory of Dr. Alexander Aruin to study movement and postural control in
healthy persons and those with disability. The postdoctoral candidate will
also participate in developing innovative methods and technologies for physical
rehabilitation.
A background in kinesiology, neuroscience, physiotherapy, and biomedical
engineering is beneficial. Experience in working with three dimensional motion
analysis, EMG, statistical data analysis, and computer programming is
desirable. There will also be an opportunity for the candidate to seek external
funding opportunities if so desired.
The Motion Analysis Laboratory is a part of the Rehabilitation Foundation, Inc.
which is a research and training institution that focuses on research in
rehabilitation. The MAL is located in the Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital
(MarianjoyRehablink, Wheaton, IL) and has strong links with the
Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, University of Illinois at Chicago,
and Pennsylvania State University.
