Research Fellow in Clinical Biomechanics
The School of Human Movement Studies in conjunction with the Motor Accident
Insurance Commission (MAIC) are seeking an experienced and highly motivated
person to conduct research in the area of clinical biomechanics. The
position is jointly funded by the MAIC and QUT and will be located at the
Kelvin Grove campus. The appointee will primarily focus on gait analysis,
mobility, and postural control with particular reference to rehabilitation
following motor accident trauma and will also contribute to the provision
of a consultancy service in these areas. Excellent opportunities also exist
for interdisciplinary research within the School and the Centre for
Rehabilitation Science and Engineering. Appointment is fixed-term for three
years. If additional funding becomes available, a further appointment may
be considered.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Applicants must have a doctoral qualification in
human movement studies or related biomechanics discipline; experience in
the analysis of human gait; and knowledge of pathologies of the locomotor
system.
SALARY: $42 424 to $45 539 pa
