Dear biomech-L;
We want to test reliability of investigator marker placement in a gait
lab setting. Our gait analysis system is Oxford Metric's VICON 370
system. Six infrared camera's record the movement of about 27 reflective
markers taped to the patient. Currently, we ran three repeated trials
with static collection only. The markers were removed and replaced for
each trial. Our concern is that standardization is diffcult to achieve,
even statically. Has anyone come up with a method to test investigator
reliability of marker placement? Basically, how do we determine the
consistancy of marker placement?
Sincerely,
