FACULTY POSITION
The Department of Physical Therapy at Eastern Washington University has a
position available for a tenure-track, 9 month, full time faculty member,
OR a visiting professorship, in our Master of Physical Therapy program.
The effective starting date is September 1, 1999.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE TENURE TRACK POSITION: A physical therapist with an
earned Doctorate preferred, advanced Masters degree required; eligibility
for licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Washington required,
as is a commitment to graduate physical therapy education. The successful
candidate will be expected to have expertise in anatomy and at least one of
the following areas: orthopedic physical therapy or cardiopulmonary
physical therapy. The successful applicant will also be expected to advise
students, mentor student research projects, and pursue scholarly activity
in their area of expertise. Additional responsibilities include service to
the university, the community, and the profession. Rank and salary
commensurate with experience. PhD required for tenure.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE VISITING PROFESSORSHIP: A PhD, ABD, or MS
individual with expertise in anatomy. Specific rank and salary will be
dependent on degree level and previous teaching experience. The successful
candidate will be expected to participate in departmental activities,
provide lectures in other courses, and assist in advising students. The
length of the contract will be for one academic year.
