Dear Biomch-Lers:
As some of you may already know, there will be a special symposium at the
23rd Annual Meeting of the American Society of Biomechanics (Pittsburgh,
October 21-23, http://asb-biomech.org/conference.html) honoring Professor
Thomas A. McMahon who passed away in February.
At the request of the family, the symposium will be videotaped. In
addition, a room will be available throughout the conference to videotape
personal testimonials from anyone who wishes to do so. The symposium and
testimonials will then be edited and put together. Copies of the video
will be available to anyone who requests it. The Thomas A. McMahon Fund at
Harvard has provided funds for the video.
If you are unable to attend ASB but would like to contribute to the
testimonials. Send your testimonial on a videocassette to Professor
Richard E. Kronauer, Division of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Harvard
University, 29 Oxford St, Pierce 324, Cambridge, MA 02138. Please make
sure to include your name, title, position, institution and a return
address if you would like a copy of the completed video.
