  • State-of-the-art in CT/MRI to FEM?

    Dear Biomch-L Recipients:

    I am interested in finding out what the current state-of-the-art is for
    using CT/MRI data for generating finite element meshes. I have seen only
    a few papers on this subject, and they were not convincing. My interest
    is in developing models of the brain, neck, and thorax. This will require
    discretization of both the bone and soft tissues. The software that I am
    currently running is Patran and DYNA3D. If anyone has any information
    regarding this topic please respond to:
