On behalf of the International Society of Biomechanics in Sports,
The Department of Sports Science and Physical Education, the Chinese
University of Hong Kong, would like invite you to participate XVIII
International Symposium of Biomechanics in Sports.

Geoffrey Dyson Award
The Geoffrey Dyson Award is the most prestigious award presented by
the ISBS. This year's laureate is Professor is Dr. Bruce Mason. Dr. Mason
will deliver the Geoffrey Dyson Memorial Lecture.

Paper submission
Scientific papers are recommended for oral sessions, poster sessions
or symposia. There are two types of papers accepted for review: 1) full
length manuscripts of up to 4 pages, including a 10 line abstract. 2) "work
in progress" which are to be submitted as a one page abstracts. Please
submit the paper to the ISBS 2000 Secretariat. The deadline of paper
submission is February 15, 2000. Detailed guidelines for the preparation of
paper are as follows. All abstracts are subject to review by the Scientific
Committee.
New Investigator Award
The purpose of the New Investigator Award is to recognize new
researchers and to encourage them to become productive members of the ISBS
by expanding the knowledge base of sports biomechanics through research and
dissemination of information. All members of the ISBS who have completed
their final degree (masters or doctoral) within the past two years are
eligible for consideration.
Registration Fee
Before May 1, 2000 After May 1, 2000
ISBS members HK$ 2000 HK$ 2400
Non-ISBS members HK$ 2400 HK$ 2600
Student HK$ 1500 HK$ 2000
(US$1.0 ~ HK$7.8)
The registration fee covers:
All sessions of the program
Morning, afternoon tea and lunch
Conference bag containing T-shirt, tie-pin, ball-pen, writing pad,
etc.
Scientific proceedings
Opening Banquet
Tour of City of Life including buffer at Victoria Peak
Night Cruise of Victoria Habour including buffer on board
Closing Banquet
