  • ACL injuries with female athletes

    Hi to all Netters:

I thought this article would be of interest to my fellow trainers and
    biomechanists:

    http://www.uniontrib.com/sports/preps/991102-0010_1s2p-preptu.html

It addresses the high susceptibility of ACL injuries in female athletes
compared to the male counterparts. A number of factors (estrogen, anatomy,
H:Q ratios, fatigue) lead to such a higher incidence but no single factor
can be considered a significant factor, at least not yet anyway.

    Happy reading,
    Arnel
