    Department of Health and Human Performance

    Faculty Position Available

    Position: The Department of Health and Human Performance is seeking
    to enhance its position as a premier teaching and research department with
    an emphasis in health and fitness in urban settings. The scope of the
    program is health and fitness across the lifespan with diverse urban
    populations. Toward this end, we are conducting a search for a
    tenure-track Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance with
    emphasis in urban fitness and expertise in applied exercise physiology.

    Qualifications &
    Resonsibilities: An earned doctorate in exercise physiology is
    required of applicants. Preference will be given to candidates with
    experience in applied exercise physiology, particularly in urban settings.
    Candidates should demonstrate a focused research agenda on the role of
    physical activity and exercise as an effective method for achieving and
    maintaining a healthy lifestyle in an urban environment. The ability to
    teach exercise physiology to undergraduate and graduate students is
    required and post-doctoral research experience is preferred. Candidates
    must have a demonstrated history of scholarship, including the ability to
    generate external funding and an independent research agenda.

    Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications of
    the applicants.
