Department of Exercise Science at The University of Iowa. The ad is
repeated below. We will soon be into the process of deciding who will be

BIOMECHANICS TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION
DEPARTMENT OF EXERCISE SCIENCE
THE UNIVERSITY OF IOWA
The Department of Exercise Science at The University of Iowa invites
applications for a tenure-track faculty position commencing in August
2000. The position will be filled at the assistant professor level
(beginning or advanced). Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent
degree and a strong potential to attract external funding. Postdoctoral
training and teaching experience are highly desirable. Individuals with
training in the general area of biomechanics, broadly defined, are
invited to apply, including molecular, cellular and tissue biomechanists.
Duties will include development of a strong independent research program
and teaching of undergraduate and graduate courses in the broad area of
biomechanics. Review of applications will begin in October 1999 and
continue until the position is filled. Submit a letter of application,
curriculum vitae, selected reprints, a 5 year research plan and three
letters of reference to: Dr. Warren G. Darling, Department of Exercise
