Movie Capture question

Dear all,

We want to buy a digital camera (JVC .... 9600, pal version with the
option to capture with 100 Hz) and a Sony VAIO F290 notebook
with a built in firewire interface.

I am trying to get any information about the capture process and
want to know if somebody else use the Sony Vaoi notebook to
capture movies.
