  • Grad. school opportunities in BME at CWRU

    Case Western Reserve University
    Department of Biomedical Engineering

    Opportunities for Graduate Education (http://bme.cwru.edu)

Biomedical Engineering was established more than 35 years ago at Case
Western Reserve University (CWRU) as one of the pioneer programs in the
world. Our Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) has strong,
well-established programs in research and education, founded on the premise
that engineering principles provide an important basis for innovative and
unique solutions to biomedical problems. Quantitative engineering for
biomedical applications remains the cornerstone of our program and
distinguishes it from biomedical science programs. In addition to dealing
with biomedical problems at the tissue and organ-system level, our research
has become heavily involved with cellular and subcellular mechanisms of
fundamental processes and with systems approaches to solving clinical
problems. Our goal is to educate engineers who can apply engineering
methods to problems involving living systems.

    DEGREES AWARDED

    M.S. , Ph.D., and Ph.D./M.D. programs in Biomedical Engineering
