Anatomy/Neuroanatomy Assistant Professor. The University of Wisconsin-La
Crosse Department of Clinical Science seeks a highly motivated individual
dedicated to the delivery of high quality human gross anatomy
(cadaver-based) and neuroanatomy curricula for health professions programs
in the College of Science and Allied Health. These programs include Nurse
Anesthesia (MS), Occupational Therapy(BS), Physician Assistant(BS) and
physical therapy (MS).
The successful candidate will be expected to design and implement
innovative curricula meeting the needs for these programs in an
inter-disciplinary setting. This faculty member will be located in the La
Crosse Medical Health Science Consortium’s new building to be completed in
June 2000 with its state of the art classroom technology and dedicated
cadaver laboratory. Because the academic year for these programs begins
with the summer term, this tenure track appointment follows a
non-traditional nine-month calendar from May 1 through January 31. The
development a program of scholarship and service is expected.
Opportunities exist to develop and lead collaborative research with faculty
and students in the health professions programs, the UW-L Biology,
chemistry, and Physics Departments, and local and regional clinical
institutions.
Salary: Competitive and dependent upon experience and qualifications.
Qualifications: The successful candidate will hold a doctoral degree in
human anatomy or a related field. Prior teaching experience and a strong
interest in developing excellence in teaching, particularly with health
professions anatomy curricula is recommended. Post doctoral experience is
