The newly formed Fundamental Research Laboratories
of Honda R&D (located in Mountain View California)
invites applications for a research scientists and
summer interns to contribute to the technical advances
of the rapidly growing area of digital human modeling.
The near term objective of the project may involve the
following,
-Computer graphics and animation of articulated
figures
-Human modeling and engineering processes
-Human motion and posture simulation / prediction
-Biomechanics and human strength simulation
-Development of virtual human-centered engineering
systems
-Human performance modeling
-Markerless visual tracking of human figures
Candidates must have an MS or Ph.D. degree in computer
science, electrical engineering, biomechanics or
closely related field with a strong commitment to
basic and applied research. Strong programming
skills
in C, C++, OpenGL, VRML is a plus.
