ISB Emerging Scientist Award (New Student Award)
On behalf of Dr. Walter Herzog and ISB it is my great pleasure to post this announcement of the inaugural emerging scientist award sponsored by Professor Carlo J De Luca. The award honors excellence in graduate research in the area of motor control and electromyography and is associated with a monetary award of $US2,500. The winner will be selected prior to the 2011 ISB Meeting in Brussels and will be given a spot in the award's session at the ISB 2011 conference in Brussels, Belgium.
In order to be eligible you must not have received your PhD degree earlier than the ISB Congress in 2009 (that is PhD must not have been obtained prior to August 1, 2009. If you are still a graduate student - even on the MSc. level you are also eligible).
For entering the competition you need to send the following items to me (Walter Herzog) by January 20th, 2011 (the deadline for abstracts):
1. An abstract that you also need to submit simultaneously to the ISB 2011 conference organizers in Brussels (the abstract must be in the area of motor control/electromyography)
2. Up to date curriculum vitae
3. Two scientific refereed publications by candidate in the area of motor control/electromyography.
