Muscle Physiology Course, March 23-24, 2011

The National Skeletal Muscle Research Center is hosting a workshop on Skeletal Muscle Physiology. The course will be held March 23-24th, 2011 at the University of California San Diego in La Jolla. The purpose of this course is to provide hands-on experience with the physiological testing of skeletal muscle. The course is intended for scientists with an interest in the musculoskeletal system and will be directed by Richard Lieber, Ph.D. and Samuel Ward, P.T., Ph.D. The course begins with lectures on skeletal muscle physiology and laboratory instrumentation, followed by testing of live tissues and data analysis. Attendees are expected to engage in the full laboratory experience and discussions with the instructors.
