2012 International Shoulder Group Conference

We are pleased to announce the 2012 conference of the International Shoulder Group, to be hosted by Aberystwyth University's Department of Sport and Exercise Science in the UK. The dates of the conference are 22 - 24 August 2012 and the venue will be the Medrus Conference Centre at Aberystwyth University.

You are invited to submit abstracts for presentation at the conference. Abstracts in all areas of shoulder and elbow biomechanics are of interest including basic science, engineering, sport and clinical science. All accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings. Abstracts may be accepted for platform or poster presentation.

The deadline for submission of abstracts is the 21st March 2012. Further information including travel and accommodation details, important dates, abstract submission and registration details can be found on the conference website at: http://internationalshouldergroup.org/isg2012.

We are pleased to announce that the 2012 conference of the International Shoulder Group will be hosted by Aberystwyth University's Department of Sport and Exercise Science, UK. The department was founded in 2002 and has since grown to provide science education for around 250 students. Members of staff in the department conduct research across the disciplines of biomechanics, physiology and psychology. Research areas are roughly divided into two themes: Physical Activity in Ageing, Rehabilitation and Health, and Sport and Exercise Performance.

This is the second call for abstracts for the 2012 Meeting of the International Shoulder Group which takes place in Aberystwyth from 22 -24 August. Abstracts should be submitted no later than 21 March 2012 to edward.chadwick+isg@gmail.com.

The meeting will immediately follow the UK Hand and Wrist Biomechanics meeting that also takes place in Aberystwyth this year. There will be a joint reception for the two groups on the evening of the 22nd.

Due to popular demand, the deadline for abstracts to the 2012 ISG conference will be extended by one week. If you have not already done so, please send me your abstracts by Wednesday the 28th of March.

Please note that to qualify to for early registration rates, you need to register by July 11, but I would encourage you to register as soon as possible as places are limited to ensure an intimate and productive meeting.
