Please proceed to http://conferences.dce.ufl.edu/ABS/reg.aspx to enjoy the regualr registration price. Registration prices will increase on July 16th. While online late registration will be allowed up until August 5, please register as early as possible to ensure the full complement of meeting amenities are available to you.

I have a female grad student who is to present at the ASB 36th Annual Conference in Gainesville, FL. She is seeking shared accommodation for Wednesday night and will be departing Thursday. My intent is to cover her cost for Wed Evening.

2012 American Society of Biomechanics Meeting
The ASB Executive Board and the 2012 Host Committee are pleased to announce a reduced registration fee program for the 2012 American Society of Biomechanics Meeting. Up to 75 student attendees from underrepresented racial and ethnic groups (using NIH Minority Fellow definitions*), persons with physical disabilities, and female students may receive an anticipated $100 reimbursement of registration fees in late July. This program is first come first serve initiative based on date of registration and confirmation of the following prioritization criteria: enrollment in the conference mentor program, students with abstracts in underrepresented ASB sub disciplines, and temporal proximity to degree.

*Underrepresented minorities are defined as individuals belonging to a particular ethnic or racial group that has been determined by the grantee institution to be underrepresented in biomedical or behavioral research. Individuals who have been found to be underrepresented in biomedical or behavioral research nationally include Black Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and Pacific Islanders.
