The 21st ESMAC (European Society of Gait Analysis for Adults and Children) conference and course will be held in Stockholm September 10-15, 2012.
A gentle reminder that:
- The 'Early bird' discount for this year's ESMAC meeting will expire on June 15. The discount is approximately 10% of registration fees.
- Registration for the gait courses (basic and advanced) expires on June 15.
- We can only reserve hotel rooms at ESMAC group prices until June 15, so we strongly recommend that you reserve your room now!
The annual ESMAC meeting attracts clinicians and researchers from multiple disciplines such as orthopaedic surgeons, neurologists, pediatricians, physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians, as well as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, kinesiologists, biomechanical/electrical/medical engineers, and others interested in human movement. Any clinical professional or academic with an interest in the following areas will consider attending the conference an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
Outcomes after clinical intervention
Functional outcome measures in mobility
Biomechanical analysis of gait and motor disorders
Foot kinematics
Foot pressure distribution
Musculoskeletal imaging methods
Computational modeling of human movement
Technical developments
Gait deviation indices
Quality Reliability
ESMAC is also proud to announce that its annual three day gait analysis basic course (Sept 10-12) and a two day advanced course (Sept 11-12) will be held in Stockholm at the Karolinska University Hospital, preceding the 21st Annual Scientific Meeting of ESMAC in Stockholm.
The three day gait analysis basic course is aimed at professionals who are relatively novice in gait analysis, or are in need for a refresher. The three day course covers all of the basic elements you need to start analyzing 3D clinical gait data. The advanced course is intended to serve professionals experienced in gait analysis who want to have two days of in depth discussions with peers on the interpretation of gait analysis data.
More information and time tables for the pre-congress courses will become available during the spring.
Please see all details for the course and congress on www.esmac2012.com
We look forward to seeing you in Stockholm Sept 10-15 this year!
Best wishes,
Eva Weidenhielm Broström and the local organizing committee (Lanie Gutierrez-Farewik, Åsa Bartonek, Per Åstrand, and Josefine Naili)
