  • Noraxon Research Symposium Fall 2012: EMG, Gait and Kinesiological Applications

    Noraxon Research Symposium Fall 2012:
Current Studies in EMG, Gait and Kinesiological Application
    Las Vegas, Nevada
    November 9-10, 2012
    Symposium Overview
The topics presented by leaders in academia reflect the wide range and successful use of kinesiological EMG, integrated 2D video, force distribution measurement and other kinematic applications. The demand for improved human performance and cutting edge rehabilitation techniques is strong. Applications which increase functionality are advancing rapidly in complexity and diversification of use. This symposium addresses the progression currently being experienced in biomechanical and kinesiological research.
Type of instructional method: Lecture, Demonstration and Hands-on Laboratory Experience
    Level of instruction: Advanced Level
Learning Objectives: This symposium aims to facilitate the exchange of advanced concepts, in-depth knowledge, unique executions of testing and interesting findings in the area of biomechanical and kinesiological research. The participant will become more familiar with additional application foundations in sEMG, gait analysis and other kinematic testing which will enhance their ongoing and future studies in both academic and lab based research. Biomechanical and kinesiological understanding is important as advanced information will be presented during the lectures, demonstration and lab time.
Poster Exhibitions: A new addition to our symposium this year is the display of graduate student research posters. Posters must be no larger than 3’ x 4’. Two inch margins are preferred. This provides an excellent opportunity for graduate students to receive feedback from field experts. Graduate students wishing to exhibit must notify Denalee Karr at denalee.karr@noraxon.com by September 30th.
