ACCEPTANCE OF ABSTRACTS – January 14th, 2013
We invite both new and previous participants of the CMBBE Symposia series to submit abstracts to the 2013 Symposium, which will be held in the United States for the first time! We welcome submissions that focus on the topics listed below, as well as innovative developments in both theoretical and applied biosimulation.
SUGGESTED TOPICS FOR GENERAL SUBMISSIONS:
SPECIAL SESSIONS AND WORKSHOPS:
We have now programmed 16 Special Sessions and 5 Workshops as part of the Symposium.
SYMPOSIUM FORMAT:
• 3 Plenary Talks and 27 Invited Talks by renowned international speakers
• 100-200 Oral and poster presentations by Contributing Authors
• Special Sessions on emerging topics
• Workshops
• Software and medical technology exhibits by leading organizations
• Cash prizes for overall best research papers and posters ($1,000 each)
• Students are strongly encouraged to attend, with a reduced student fee and 6 cash prizes for best student posters and presentations.
• Free time in schedule on Thursday April 4 for skiing or to enjoy other local attractions.

We are pleased to announce that Professors Scott Delp from Stanford University, Suvranu De from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Andrew McCulloch from UC San Diego will be giving Plenary Talks at the Symposium.

The meeting will be held at the Marriott City Center, Salt Lake City, Utah, USA:
We have negotiated substantially reduced rates for the symposium participants. Rates for both single and double rooms are $139/night.
SYMPOSIUM FEES:
Student: $350
Regular/Presenter: $500
Late Fee (after February 17, 2013): $80
Accompanying person fee for Wednesday Reception and Friday Banquet: $200
The symposium fees include admission to all sessions, Buffet Reception on the evening of April 3rd, the Symposium Banquet on the evening of April 6th, breakfast and lunch on 3 days and coffee breaks on 4 days, and an electronic copy of the Proceedings.
