  • Unlocking the Mysteries of EMG Webinars - March 12-21, 2013

BassettBiomechanics.com is proud to present its first collaborative webinar series!

After the great success of the Introduction to EMG webinar with Andrea Merlo, we are continuing deeper into the topic for four more webinars:

    1. Origin and Detection of the Surface EMG Signal: From the Muscle to the Screen - March 12th, 6 PM CET
    2. Data Quality Check: How to Recognize Fishy Data - March 14th, 6 PM CET
    3. Numerical Indicators for Surface EMG: Clinical and Research Applications - March 19th, 6 PM CET
    4. Surface EMG and Gait: Events, Cycles, Normalizations - March 21st, 6 PM CET

To accompany these webinars, we are also releasing the latest version of Andrea Merlo's EMG Easy Report on March 5th. It is currently available for preorder in a bundle package with both Unlocking the Mysteries of EMG with Andrea Merlo and Unlocking the Mysteries of EMG in Visual3D webinar series. Andrea Merlo, Ph.D., has been working with surface EMG since 1998. He studied at the internationally acclaimed LISiN Bioengineering Center directed by Prof. Roberto Merletti in Turin, Italy, where his research focused on EMG hardware, signal processing (including onset estimation and filtering), and electrode placement within the European SENIAM framework. In the decade since, he has been supporting two clinical motion analysis laboratories using surface electromyography (sEMG) to assist neurological patient rehabilitation. In addition, he is an adjunct professor of physiotherapy at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and a co-author of several peer-reviewed publications and books. He frequently teaches courses on surface EMG and gait analysis throughout Italy, and we are looking forward to drawing on his expertise for this new webinar series!

The Webinar Series Unlocking the mysteries of EMG with Andrea Merlo will be broadcast live March 12th, 14th, 19th, and 21st at 6PM CET.

Other upcoming and ongoing webinar series you may be interested in:
