  • 2014 GCMAS Call for Abstracts

    Final Notice

    The Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society invites you to participate in the 2014 GCMAS Meeting, to be held June 24-27 at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE. This is the second call for abstracts for podium or poster presentations in all areas of gait and clinical movement analysis.

    Abstracts and proposals for tutorials in all areas of human movement analysis are welcome, and will be selected for the 2014 scientific program via a competitive, peer-review process.

    The 2014 Program Committee encourages submissions related to the following topics:
    • Clinical decision support for the diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring outcomes of patients with movement dysfunction
    • New tools and technologies for the study of movement
    • Advances in rehabilitation of patients with movement dysfunction
    • Advances in understanding the fundamental control mechanisms of normal and pathological movement
    • Function of muscles, bones, joints and other structures in health and disease
    • Emerging applications of motion measurement in natural environments
    • Abstracts that concur with the topic areas of the keynote speakers
    • Clinical case studies

    Abstract and tutorial submissions must be received by January 10, 2014, 11:59 pm EST. Authors will be notified of acceptance by February 21, 2014.

    About the GCMAS Annual Meeting:

    The 2014 meeting, hosted by the University of Delaware, will feature keynote lectures, research platform and poster presentations, and case studies.

    Keynote speakers will include Scott H. Kozin, MD, and Ravi Komatireddy, MD, MCTI

    This activity is being planned in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Gait and Clinical Movement Analysis Society (GCMAS). Cincinnati Children’s is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

    Application will be made for approval of continuing education hours from the State of Delaware Examining Board of Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers.
